Senior sales leadership when the number cannot wait

Pipeline, deal leadership and management discipline, with interim or fractional leadership where it helps.

The challenge

Where sales execution breaks

  • The founder or CEO is the only reliable closer.

Complex deals depend on one or two people.

  • Pipeline without qualification.

Activity exists, but progression and forecasting are inconsistent.

  • Leadership missing or in transition.

The team lacks a shared approach and a management cadence.

  • Targets rising faster than capability.

The organisation needs senior capacity while it builds its own.

What you take forward

The deliverables you hold at the end of the work.

  • Role clarity and hiring profiles
  • Interim or fractional commercial leadership where needed

The business result of each part is set out under Our approach.

Our approach

The embedded sales leadership model

The four GrowthBridge™ parts as they apply to this work: from the commercial question to results your team keeps building on.

  1. Diagnose and stabilise

Review pipeline, qualification, deal progression, win/loss and management cadence; agree decision rights.

OutcomeA shared view of pipeline quality and priorities.

  2. Embed and execute

Run pipeline reviews, coach the team, lead complex deals and align sales with marketing and product.

OutcomeConsistent qualification and clearer deal leadership.

  3. Systemise and scale

Playbooks, coaching routines, role clarity, CRM discipline, dashboards and hiring profiles.

OutcomeA sales approach that survives role changes.

  4. Transfer

Hand over cadence, playbooks and manager capability; support the move to permanent leadership where needed.

OutcomeInternal ownership of a sales system the team can run.

Our difference

Embedded leadership, not interim cover

  • Decision rights stay clear.

Leadership keeps authority; the embedded leader works within an agreed mandate.

  • We work with the existing team.

Coach, set a shared approach and make role or hiring gaps explicit.

  • Transfer by design.

Everything built remains with the client.

Questions

How fast do results show?

Early progress appears in qualification, pipeline reviews and deal ownership; broader impact depends on deal cycles and the starting point.

Is this interim management?

It can include interim or fractional leadership, but the aim is a sales system the team owns.

Do you sell for us?

We lead and coach on live deals alongside your people; the relationships and the pipeline stay with the business.

How does your embedded leadership model work in practice?

An experienced commercial leader works alongside your team on the priorities agreed for the assignment. We agree responsibilities, decision rights, the working rhythm and the handover at the start. The role can be interim or fractional; its duration and time commitment are scoped to the situation rather than fixed for every engagement.

What if we only need help for 3–6 months?

A time-bounded assignment can be appropriate. We agree the work, priorities, duration and handover with you before it starts. A three- or six-month window is a scoping constraint, not a promise that every commercial problem can be solved within it.

Will the fractional CRO overrule our founder/CEO?

Decision rights are agreed at the start. An interim or fractional commercial leader works within that mandate and alongside your founder, CEO and team. Commercial recommendations and execution responsibilities do not transfer ownership of your strategy or investment decisions away from you.

What happens after you’ve hit our growth milestones? Do we become dependent on you?

We build the work around your team being able to carry it forward. Ownership, documentation, capability and handover are part of the assignment. At the end, we agree whether the work is complete or whether a separately scoped next phase would help; ongoing support is not assumed.

What usually comes next

Only when the outcome of this work calls for it. A successful handover can be the end.
